Review: The Greatest Christmas Gift of All

The Greatest Christmas Gift of All The Greatest Christmas Gift of All by Karine Saint Jacques
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Love and heart-breaks are in the air as young and old find out they aren't with the ppl who really love them for who they really are. The ones they are with in the beginning of the story just brings the other person down but later after heartaches and heart breaks and all the emotional confusion with the side of stressful debates and situations they risk it all. This is a drama filled Christmas romance more than what im used to but in the end it was a pretty good book.

Review: Dante's Gift

Dante's Gift Dante's Gift by Aubrey Wynne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All the characters in this book u really get to know on a personal level. I loved how Dom's grandmother Nonna brings her life stories to life from her childhood in Italy and the war that broke out. This is a very good book for the holidays even tho it seems at first like a thanksgiving but later comes into the christmas season and at the very end of the book Dom popped the question once again but this time made it very personal and special.

Review: A Convenient Risk

A Convenient Risk A Convenient Risk by Sara R. Turnquist
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It began with sadness with the death of Amanda's Husband Jed and the next thing she knows shes getting married again to this guy Brandon who lives next store to them. Amanda didn't want to marry him but had no choice to because she has a son to support and raise as well as looking out for herself as well. SO Brandon and Amanda get married on a contact type of relationship Brandon provides protection and a means of life while he takes over Jed's cattle. Both of them butt heads from time to time and got some getting used to each other but eventually they do fall for each other but in that time they find out things about each other that they didn't know before = shocks, Trust & Love!!! But within their love story comes the other issues and situations that could seem to turn deadly at times but no one dies. There is a sense of Christianity within the story here just a tad . I felt like i actually got to know the characters on a personal level even spiritual to say the least. This book was a page turner action packed after one situation to the next issues!!!! Plus there are some parts in here that are funny enough to put a smile on your face and a laugh in your voice!!!!

Dark Lover Dark Lover by J.R. Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In the very beginning it was somewhat confusing since there wasn't a perlude into the book to take to understanding but thrown right into the story right off the bat but as you read on you start to understand the story line and understand was going on and all. So here we have a girl named Beth who grew up in a small town called caldwell never really knew her father at all her mother passed away when she was at a young age. Beth grew up in Caldwell when to college and found a job as a journalist at the local newpaper CCJ . She has guy friends but never really dated anyone. So one day after work her boss makes a move on her and she was able to get out of that situation quickly before something happened. On her walk home in the heat of the summer night it was obvesis that the college kids were back home and out partying she just ingoried them all as two came across the street acting like jerks and some how some way she tried to get away from them but one was about to pin her in the alley but she punch and kicked him in his nuts. That next morning she filed a report on the guy down in the police station where all the men in blue knew her ! One guy named Butch was very fond of her but she didn't like him anyways he finds out who this kid is ( billy Riddle ) and finds him and punches him in the nose to the point it breaks. Later on she finds out who her Father is and understands the reason why he wasn't in her life was to protect her rather than put her in danger. Wrath is the King of the group of Vampires and was asked by Darius which is Beth's Father to protect her if anything was going to happen to him which did a lesser placed a bomb under his BMW and once he started the car it blow up and he was dead . Now Wrath was trying to get to her to tell her about her father and be there for her when she when thru her transition. There was some very steamy situations that im not going to spoil for ya your gonna have to read to find out urselfs lol. Theres a cliff hanger when she goes thru the transformation you think Beth isn't going to make it but she does!!!! So her life she knows is now upside down what was her normal life isn't now since she is a vampire as well as Wrath's Mated mate and Queen his everything and after when wedding ceremony the next day she wanted something to eat but Wrath wouldn't allow her to go upstairs because it was still light out. He allowed her to go get something to eat and she was in the kitchen looking out in the back yard and she sensed/ felt something wasn't right. And there was a lesser dressed as a gas & light meter reader and once Wrath smelled the lesser and called up to the kitchen it was tooo late!!!! This book i don't stop reading . Its a cliff hanger one after another!!! A Steamy Hang cliff vampire type of book good to the last drop of blood i say!

Review: The Christian and the Vampire: A Short Story

The Christian and the Vampire: A Short Story The Christian and the Vampire: A Short Story by Vikki Kestell
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Nook edition is only 35 pages - The version i Read

IF you love a religious debate then this book is for you. Its like the author of this book is totally mindset on Vampires being of the devil just like how some Christians are mindset on Harry potter ( Mind you im a big fan of Harry Potter & a Christian) being of sorcery with all it is just entertainment and im just gonna leave it at that. But as i was reading thru it - it reminded me of a religious debate between a Mormon & a Christian. As i continued to read thru all i see is just anger building and building between the two. I was glad this was just a short story and it was really a waste of my time don't think i will be reading anymore books by this author my first and my very last one!!!! If i could i would give it 0 stars but since i couldn't i gave it 1 star for my reasonings above. Many others seemed to enjoy this book thats great and all but i just down right hated it!!!!
Well for one this ebook = Nook edition is only 35 pages long.
To be really honest i don't write reviews like this but i just hated this book.

Review: Gay Cowboy Vampire

Gay Cowboy Vampire Gay Cowboy Vampire by Tabatha Austin
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

It all starts out in a bar while James is slipping on a bloody mary and ppl watching until he spots a guy that hes attractive to very much. To his surprisement the Guy slowly walks over to him introduces himself as Mehcil and they get a talking then Mechil turns and waves at a guy at the bar and then the next thing James knows is there are a group of guys infront of him all angry and ready to fight. So he gets up which James wished he didn't but says hes leaving. All of them eyed him in unison as he left the bar. He is picking up that they are NOT humans at all. Once he got home he found the mystery guy on his couch in his house on this old family ranch.

He is now in enlisted to be a hitman to kill his borther's killer!!!
Hes def not sure of himself confidence wise (= body and Love) BUT he is falling for a Vampire guy.

Its somewhat confusing as to who is talking and saying what ive found myself during my book readin getting lost and confused as how this one person came in and what happened to another but other than that it was a good medium length short story

Review: Vampire Ascension

Vampire Ascension Vampire Ascension by Eva Pohler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As the last book ( Vampire - affiliation ) ends with dramatic ending so starts the beginning of the last book of the series Vampire Ascension with the death of Jeno's Father but another vampire Euripides took his place and threaten to not only kill Gertie and Hector but almost took Klaus but the only way to save him was to turn him into a vampire and the only way to turn him back into a human again is to kill the vampire that has possession over them. Meanwhile Diane Gertie's mother comes back into the picture and is shocked to find out that her daughter was turned into a vampire but there was some tension between Gertie & Diane. There was more drama that lead them to leave Athens and fly over to New York City. Once they got over to new York Euripides still had possession of Klaus mind and almost killed Jeno for the 2nd time. So Klaus , Gertie & jeno had to go feed so Jeno took them out and took them to this vampire pub where they had to go thru alot of different tests to be allowed in and in the ned Klaus dies because of one of the Gods within the pub they tried to save him but no use but one God there gave them little hope in terms of saving Nikita's brother Klaus. The God gave them his Lyre to go down to the underworld in hopes that Hector could play it for Hades and he would give back Nikita's brother ' s soul. Once they got back to Gertie's house and saw them drag Klaus in. Nikita was on Gertie's heels about something that she didn't want Nikita to know but she threaten Gertie and she gave in and told her what was happening. Gertie turned her friend into a vampire and the journey begins back to Athens now to go back and see if everyone's ok from the upraising war that took place when they were over in New York. They have been lead to one God to another goddess on a wild goose chase and in the mist of all of this Gertie finds out WHO she really is and WHO are REAL parents are. Once you think that they have finally solved the situation they are thrown back in the chaos of everything with the Gods's helping them on their mission adding onto them with their favors and all. After everything is finally done and saved the vampire race the unthinkable happens Jeno dies so that he can be with his father which means that Gertie is now NOT a vampire at all but it breaks her heart that he died so that Hector and Gertie could have a chance at love since Jeno had 30 yrs of love. NOW all the Morgans are back together and moved to Athens and employed Baba as their personal chef and built an onsite house for the Angelis Family and the Children are finally going back to school and their lives are turning back to normal once more!!! At the end of the book ive learn that the authur is writing another series that has Jeno Hector and Gertie which is coming out 2019!!! I can tell you this i WILL be reading that new series once it comes out!!! Im soo excited!!!

A start to a new adventure begins this time the story doesn't focus on the angelis's family but rather on the 3 friends = Hector , Jeno & Gerite with her conflicting feelings for both boys yet thrown into some seriously situations where they have to trust believe & have faith in each other that their plans will come thru but there here some obstacles in their path to get Phoebe & diemen back to Mama but to do that they have to also free the vampires from the mind control of Jeno's Father. Jeno is have confusion within his actions against his father for one moment he is for his father and the next hes against him cause he feels like he betrayed his father . Little did they know that in order to free Phoebe they had to destroy Diemen. During the mist of this Gertie learns her hidden talent and who her father is!!!! The unthinkable happens Jeno was lying to both hector and gertie but he really was just using them to help gain the vampires freedom and turned them in to his father when he told them that he was going for a fly and be back by dusk he really was flying back to his father's to give him the invisible helmet and told him about their plans!!! A Moment's Madness A Moment's Madness by Helen Kirkman
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

It was ok for me at the beginning of the book i was really confused as to what was happening but there were periods thru out the book that i was able to start to follow and understand what was going on and everything but there was a pattern of getting lost within following whats happening and then following. Thats the reason why i gave this book 2 stars but im not custom to Historical Viking romance for this is my first Historical Viking Romance book that ive read and i will try another and hopefully the same thing will not happen again i guess its cause im more custom to Scottish / Highland Romance than Vikings. Over all it was a good book as much as i could follow it.

Happy Readins Yinz.

Review: Devious

Devious Devious by Lisa Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In my opinion and thoughts i believe this is the last book of the series for within this book the author brought back a previous serial killer from the book cold blooded ( Book 2 of the New Orleans series) - Father John killing off his victims using a rosary with the beads sharpen and put the rosary around their necks and choking them until they die. At the end of the cold blooded everyone thought that they had killed father john that became bait for the alligators but everyone was wrong and now years after he reappears once again on the lose killing nuns now!
The time is running out and Val is a Ex-cop now living down in New olearns w her best friend Fra running a bed and breakfast after going thru a period when she was married to Slade and had her sister living with them on hes ranch and there was a sparkle between cammie and slade but Slade never once cheated on Val or even thought about it. SInce then Cammie moved out and decided to become a nun at St Marguerite One day Slade decided to make a trip down to new olreans to try to fix up their marriage that Val is more headstrong on the fact that Cammie & Slade had a affair. Meanwhile Val made Slade promise her to stop trying to fix the marriage until they find her sister's murder. Theres romance between them too and Val cant bring herself to the realization that she still loves Slade. BUT just as the Last book was centered around Rick Bentz now its Rubuen's turn and the victim what is the serial killers 1st victim is his first high school sweetheart lover!!!! and the more he invesgates the case the more people he knows from the past and this is a blow to the heart and head but he keeps on going to slove this case. Here and behold there's a mind shocker discovery that Vals real mother is no other then mother superior charity!!! and that's not the end she has a daughter named Darlene which wasn't adopted at the orphanage at the other parish and the motive behind all the killings was this that Detavo was jealous of all the other girls that got adopted and cause of that started killing them off one by one!!!
All in all this is an on edge of your seat type book that u just cant stop reading!!!

Malice Malice by Lisa Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

on the edge of your seat for the most part of the book but even more so when you are nearing the end of the book the suspense gets ya. It really does pick up more action more murders more suspense & romance! U think you know who it is behind all of the murders but to your surprise its someone that you would least expect Bentz Ex-GirlFriend!!!! But i will say this - this series isn't one that u can pick any book out of the series and expect to be able to know what they are talking about because they insert situations & issues from previous books . I believe that the next book i would consider is the last book of this series even tho theres another one after that which is Never die alone and by what the description from the book it seems like its almost a repeat of a book within the New Orleans series.

Review: Viking in Tartan: A Highland Vampires Romance

Viking in Tartan: A Highland Vampires Romance Viking in Tartan: A Highland Vampires Romance by Suz deMello
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Well I read it only cause it was a short vampire romance but here and behold it has very little to do about vampires in itself. There was a mention of the Viking being one and just his thoughts when he sees mistress Rhona in the very beginning but even tho the title clearly says vampire romance don't let the title deceive you but on the other had if u love historical Scottish romance then it's not as bad but I was glad I didn't waste any money on this e-book which I got free thru my Nook. It was more Scottish than Vampireish and that's the reason for my rating. To me it seems like the author is a better historical romance writer than paranormal /vampires.

Review: The Stolen Bride

The Stolen Bride The Stolen Bride by Susan Spencer Paul
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was skeptical at first but this was my very first bride romance book that I have ever read and to my surprisement it was the best one yet and I will continue to read bride books.

On the Edge of ur seat type of book if it wasn't drama between sir Girel - mistress Sofia or between her and her father then it was between Sir Kayne and Mistress Sofia there was always some type of action going on in the book. The author written this book really well to the point that u get to know the characters on a personal level and ur right in the mist of all the action u can see it all played out like in a movie type way the villain gets killed and her knight in shining armor gets to marry her and they live happily ever after. If u love historical romance even more so Scottish ones this is a great quick read or weekend read for y'all!!!
